” Once upon a time… ” On hearing these magic words time stops, silence falls and we are ready to plunge into a world of the imaginary, the marvellous, from the most terrifying to the most spectacular and most delicious.The voyage of discovery may start towards the detachment from paternal love and the awakening of femininity…

Here there is no spoken text but music sung and danced ; shadow-play where both the best and the worst become fantastic ; a baroque universe, refined and surrealist.

Traditionally, the story takes place in the distant past. References to contemporary reality lend a hint of absurdity that provokes laughter, building links with the public and contributing to an atmosphere of delicious fear. A fear overcome by laughter, a sense of the marvellous and the beautiful.

The Queen, the Fairy Godmother, the mockers, a doctor: Bérengère Bodénan
The King, the mockers, a doctor: Olivier Collin
The donkey Cadichon, the painter, the mockers, the prince: Artour Zakirov
And a little girl from the town where the ballet is presented.

We invite you to come to discuss Belle Dance as alive art. Would the so called baroque dance be a dead art? Formal? Exceeded? To forget? Can a style of past reveal the dance? In the Cycle " These gestures which say it more than the words " to celebrate, among others festivities, on the 40 years of the Center Mandapa, come to envisage the body movements/gestures of the dance in Belle Dance.

Die Wurzel des klassischen Ballett finden sich im barocken Bühnentanz. Es sind die Tänze Ludwig XIV, des Sonnkönigs. Dieser Tanz stellt eine wunderbare Einheit von Bein- und Armbewegungen und Körper dar, eine perfekte Kunstform.

Dieser Kurs vermittelt dem geübten Tänzer die Grundlagen und –schritte sowie die schöne Figurenvielfalt der barocken Paar- und Solopaartänze, wie sie in den Opern und Balletten des 18. Jahrhunderts dargeboten wurden. Der Tanzmeister Peter Hoffmann ist einer der bekannten Experten auf diesem Gebiet.

Der Kurs ist für geübte Tänzer auch ohne einschlägige Vorkenntnisse geeignet

La Compañía Xuriach, en colaboración con el Museo de historia de Cataluña, nos propone un curso anual de danza antigua, la que transmitieron los maestros de danza entre los siglos XVI y XVIII y que ha llegado hasta nuestros días a través de sus tratados y manuales, o a través de las formas de la tradición oral.

El curso está organizado en 3 módulos temáticos, uno cada trimestre. Cada módulo consiste en 6 clases, en las fechas indicadas para cada trimestre, y un baile abierto al público o con el público, con músicos en directo. Anteriormente hemos publicado un post con información general sobre estos cursos.

MÒDUL II: La Belle Danse

Se sienten unos talones que se acercan, que se detienen... Suena el roce de la telas, intuimos los pliegues de la faldilla en una reverencia... y el sombrero que se encaja con la peluca... Courante para comenzar, y seguirán los Menuets, las Bourrées, las Gavottes, las Gigues y las Zarabandas. Nos adentraremos en los pasos deslizados, saltados con ligereza, diminutos, estilizados y ornamentados de la danza del barroco francés, la Belle Danse, que puso en movimiento a toda la corte de Versalles.

Laboratorio II: Notación Beauchamp-Feuillet. Aprender los rudimentos de la escritura y la lectura de las partituras de la Belle Danse. Reflexión sobre la escritura de la danza.

Fechas: 8, 15 y 29 de enero, 5, 12 y 19 de febrero
