Pastime with the Pastons...‘A celebration of the Paston dynasty in dance’
Swaffham Arts present, with Norwich Historical Dance, "Pastime with the Pastons...a celebration of the Paston Dynasty in dance"
A dancing chronicle of the Paston family in Norfolk whose letters have contributed so much to the knowledge of life in those times from the 15th through to the early 18th century.
The Paston family rose from the peasantry to the aristocracy within just two generations. They are also the first record of private correspondence to survive in Britain and so offer a unique glimpse into the concerns and fears of a very upwardly mobile family at a time of huge social upheaval. Alas, After the rise, eventually came the fall...

Beginn: 19:30 Uhr
Der Eintritt beträgt 10 Euro/erm. 7 Euro (ohne Essen).
