Dieser Tanz ist Teil einer venezianischen Serenade mit der Musik von André Campra. Diser gilt als derjenige, der die Forlana aus der Heimat seines aus Italien stammenden Vaters als erster nach Paris brachte (in seinem Ballett: L'Europe Galante, 1697). Sie stammt ursprünglich aus dem Gebiet nördlich von Venedig (Friaul, daher: Friulana) und war dort ein lebhafter Volkstanz.
Geeignet für fortgeschrittene Barocktänzer
This dance has been part of the dance collection La Sérénade Venitienne by the composer André Campra and dates from the year 1703. Campra was the first composer introducing the Forlana into French court music (in his ballet suite
LÈurope Galante, 1697). It is originated in the area north of Venice (Friuli/Friaul).

Workshop as a part of the 5th International days of Baroque dance in Potsdam:
Teacher: Yana Voinova / St. Petersburg
Class will be focused on analysis of the dance for 1 pair of La Matelotte, choreography by monsieur Raoul Augie Feuillet.
This dance is a challenge due to the large number of turns and interesting frequent change of direction.
The workshop is intended for dancers fluent and confident with baroque step technique, such as coupé, coupé battu, pas de bourrée (ou fleurets),
pas grave, jettés, contre-temps, pas galliarde and some others.
Der Kurs beschäftigt sich mit der Choreographie für 1 Paar zu “La Matelotte”, von Raoul Augie Feuillet.
Dieser Tanz ist besonders deshalb eine Herausforderung für jeden Tänzer, weil er eine Reihe von Drehungen und Richtungswechsel enthält.
Voraussetzungen: Beherrschung des barocken Schrittmaterials wie coupé, coupé battu, Pas de bourrée (ou fleurets),Pas grave, jettés, contre-temps, Pas galliarde u.a.

Choreographing in the Baroque style: Group dances, for experienced dancers
The workshop will look at 2 contrasting dances, choreographed by Philippa either to music from Telemanns "Hochzeit-Divertissement" (with a choice of dances from a rigaudon of 5, a gigue of 3, a loure of 4 or a passepied for 4) of a Passepied for 3 for music by Kirnberger.
The workshop will look at technique & style required to obtain the character / affect of different dance types.
For experienced baroque dancers, at least 8, max. 16
Time: 17th of June, 2 - 5 p.m and 6 - 9 p.m.

Choreographieren im barocken Stil: Gruppentänze, für erfahrene Barocktänzer
Der Workshop beinhaltet 2 gegensätzliche Tänze choreographiert von Philippa entweder zu Musik von Telemanns "Hochzeit-Divertissement" (wahlweise ein Rigaudon für 5, eine Gigue für 3 oder ein Passepied für 4) oder ein Passepied für 3 zur Musik von Kirnberger.
Der Workshop beachtet die Technik und den Stil, die nötig sind, um den Charakter der verschiedenen Tänze zu erhalten.

Der Kurs richtet sich an Barocktänzer mit Grundschrittrepertoire, die Spaß daran haben, eine mögliche Form der tänzerischen und szenischen Realisierung kennenzulernen.
Wenn möglich, bitte ein Herrenhemd vorbereiten, in dem vorn und hinten Kissen als Bauch und Buckel mit Sicherheitsnadeln befestigt sind, dgl. ein Hemd/ eine Bluse mitbringen, das / die darüber passt.

If possible, please prepare a men´s vest with a pillow in front as a belly and behind as a hump fastend by safety pins.
